After Your Treatment.

Following the appointment and the removal of your ear wax, there are a few things to remember to keep your ears in tip top form.

Firstly NEVER poke or probe in to the ear!

Your ears are fragile and hugely important, damage can be achieved very easily and healing is slow and not always possible.

You might notice that your radio and TV seem to be very loud, take a moment to turn all your devices down. You will settle in to a normal habbit in a day or so as you readjust.

Normal activities such as showering, swimming and hair washing should be paused for a day or two. Sometimes when removing the wax there are small areas of the ear canal where infection could penetrate the surface. These areas were covered with wax, so you need to support your body by letting these heal before adding water into the ears. This will minimise the risk of infection.

Sometimes you might feel a bit dizzy for a time, this normal settles on the same day.

FAQ’s

How long does it take?

The procedure can take anything from 5 minutes to 45 minutes it’s impossible to predict because of the many possible conditions the ear and wax may be in. Typically this will be less than 20 minutes.
